Americans are divided on how the U.S. should deal with Iran. An action or policy we take impacts current conflicts in the Middle East, long term relations with allies such as Saudi Arabia, Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the balance of power between us and Russia. Both the U.S. and Iran are societies with complex government structures and populations with widely divergent views. This makes creating a mutually accepted policy for U.S.-Iranian relations extremely challenging.
