The situation in Yemen continues to deteriorate. With a nearly unparallelled humanitarian crisis, fighting between militia groups that shows no end in sight, and the recent assassination of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, this often-overlooked crisis may be getting even worse.
Michael Van Denend, Executive Director of the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan, hosted Dr. Gamal Gasim, associate professor of Middle East Studies and Political Science at Grand Valley State University, to illuminate the crisis in Yemen to our Council network.
