THURSDAYS ARE FOR TRIVIA!
The World Affairs Council Inland Southern California, in conjunction with the World Affairs Councils of America Network, is hosting a nationwide global trivia challenge!
Looking for some fun?! Join WAC Inland Southern California for a free Global Pop Trivia competition. The virtual game will take place every Thursday at 6 pm PST from May 21- June 11. Participate in all 4 weekly competitions, or just jump in for one. All ages welcome (questions may be difficult for children).
Competition format: Each quiz will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions. You'll have just 25 seconds to answer.
You may compete independently or with the whole family. If you play as a team, members must physically be in the same place and keep the same team name each week. We'll be using Zoom and MyQuiz to host the quizzes. We'll send you detailed instructions on how to access once you register. Topics will cover general knowledge and pop trivia (history, culture, geography, sports, etc.) - there is no study guide.
Prizes: Each week, the winning 1st place contestant will receive a gift card to a local business, Augie's Coffee. The top 2 contestants/teams with the highest accumulated score will be eligible to compete in the virtual National Global Pop Trivia competition where the grand prize is one free conference registration for the World Affairs Councils of America National Conference in Washington, DC in November.
Register: Registration is open to the first 50 contestants.
Questions: Contact Katie at kyutuc@llu.edu.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!
*Note: Our host will be on the Zoom call reading out every question as well as giving extra info between questions, while the quiz will be conducted on myquiz.org. It is recommended that you have separate devices (ie. laptop and phone) for the Zoom call and the trivia questions, although it is also possible to have the call and myquiz.org open in two separate windows on one computer.
