On this livestream, the Los Angeles World Affairs Council & Town Hall host Brazilian Ambassador to the United States Nestor Forster Jr. The discussion will start with the Ambassador’s vision for the future of the U.S.-Brazil relationship, and the ongoing trade negotiations between the two countries. He'll also provide an update on the recent travel restrictions from Brazil to the US, and how the Brazilian Embassy is responding. The Ambassador will share how the Brazilian government is responding to COVID-19, including how they are providing for Brazilians economically and medically. He'll also talk about the impact of the pandemic on agriculture to his country, which accounts for 25% of GDP and 40% of exports, and is responsible for feeding 1.4 billion people worldwide.
