the Holocaust Preview and Panel

Join WQED, CPB, and the World Affairs Councils of America for a very special event, featuring a sneak preview of the PBS Special, "Harbor from the Holocaust," on September 2, 2020 at 7:00pm EDT. The documentary explores the extraordinary relationship of nearly 20,000 Jewish refugees and their adopted city of Shanghai. United States Senator Ben Cardin, Patricia de Stacy Harrison, President, and CEO, Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Darryl Ford Williams, Executive Producer of "Harbor from the Holocaust," Yo-Yo Ma, world renowned cellist and musical contributor to the film, and Jonathan Barzilay, Chief Operating Officer of PBS, will provide opening remarks. A panel discussion moderated by Bill Clifford, President and CEO of the World Affairs Councils of America, with Director, Violet Feng, and Doris Fogel and Manli Ho, featured in “Harbor from the Holocaust,” will follow the film clip.
